It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Phyllis, peacefully at the Hotel-Dieu on April 22, 2026, at the age of 87. Daughter of Albert Smith and Marguerite Fowler.
Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 68 years Robert Crack; her children Brenda and Jeffrey (Sheila) and she was cherished Grammie of 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her sister Sylvia (Wayne) and brother Wayne (Lynn) and sister-in-law Bev (the late Ronald).
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and many dear friends.
Predeceased by her two daughters Karen (Brian Royea) and Joanne, her in-laws the late Miriam, late Trudy (late Léo), late Joyce and late David “Butch” (late Phyllis).
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of floor 5D at the Hotel-Dieu for their care and compassion.
Family will receive condolences on Saturday, May 2 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principal S. Richmond, followed by a Graveside service at the Melbourne Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Lee Ann Hogle officiating.
Donations to the Heart and stroke Foundation or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
