It is with regret that we announce the passing of Mr Albert Joseph Parent, at the CSSS Memphrémagog, on February 9th, 2019, at the age of 83, formerly from Stanstead. Beloved husband of Shirley Smith.
The family will gather at the Cass Funeral Home, 545, Dufferin St., Stanstead, QC, on Friday, February 22nd, 2019 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, February 23rd from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Sacré-Coeur Church in Stanstead.
Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn his children Mary-Ann (Michel), Richard (Sarilyn), David (Patricia), Debbie (Aaron); his grandchildren: Elizabeth (Jean-François), Shawn, Ryan, Justin (Jena), Jennifer (Johanna), Corrina and Kelly (James); his great-granddaughter Sophia; his brothers and sisters: Denis (Caroline), Carmen (Jean-Guy), Hughes (Joan), Louise, Margaret, Raymond (Colette). He is predeceased by his brother Edouard and sisters Mary (George) and Elizabeth. He also leaves many other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank Dre Geneviève Gagné as well as the personnel of the ICU at the CSSS Memphrémagog for their compassion and excellent care provided to Mr Parent.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 100-2630, rue King Ouest, Sherbrooke, QC J1J 2H1, would be appreciated by the family.

We will miss seing Albert walking around town. He has been a devoted volunteer for the town, taking care of our clock at 10 Phelps for a long time and as a former town Councilor.
