Barry Crook

We cannot express our sadness at the news of Barry's untimely passing. He was the consumate father and grandfather and loved the time he got to spend with all of you. None of us knows how long we will get to spend with our loved ones and so taking advantage of the time, as Barry did, makes an indelible mark on them and leaves everlasting memories for them to carry with them through their lives. Dear Chelsea Oscar Ryan, Adam and the entire Crook family...to you all go my deepest sympathies on the loss of a wonderful man whose life was cut short far too early. Although I never had the good fortune to get to know Barry, my conversations with Chelsea and others certainly makes me have all the more regret.

My sincerest sympathy to Barry's family. He was one of the sweetest, kindest, most gentle young man I knew. We rode the same school bus to high school many years ago. He was a good friend. My deepest condolences to the family on the loss of a dear friend from long ago in high school. I had not seen him since graduation and I was hoping to see him at a graduation reunion we hold every year. Now we will honour him with a toast at the next reunion. Rest well my friend gone too soon.

I was so heartbroken to hear this news yesterday. I got to know Barry from the late 1990's and consider myself very lucky to have known such a smashing bloke and he leaves so many fond memories. My deepest sympathy to Chelsea and the rest of the family – he was taken far too young. I won't be able to make it from England for the funeral – but my thoughts will be with you.

Chelsea I dont think you could have had a better father than Barry. You are lucky to have had such father. He left too young. Life is fragile, curious and sometime cruel that's how it is. Chelsea je ne pense pas que tu aurais pu avoir un meilleur père que Barry. Tu es chanceuse d'avoir eu un tel père. Il est parti trop jeune, la vie est curieuse et cruelle parfois mais c'est ainsi...
