Carrol Joyce (née Brown) Garfat

(1934 – 2021)

Passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the age of 87. Daughter of the late Mildred Lafoe and Arthur Brown. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Garfat.

Dear mother of Tony (Jill Fletcher), Dwight (Nancy Kerr), Gail, Darlene (Steve Marrotte) and Nelson (Line Madore). Grandmother of Jennifer-Rae Garfat, Bobbie-Jo King, Rebecca-Lee Garfat (deceased), Dustin Garfat, Randi-Lynn Garfat, Anastasia Markey, Trevor Patton, Matthew Patton, Adam Patton, Tareva Patton, Schuyler Marrotte, Kyshia Marrotte, Ayla Marrotte, Sabrina Garfat, Cody Garfat and great-grandmother of twelve.

She also leaves to mourn her passing, her brother, Stan Brown (Pat Decoteau), her sister-in-law, Donna (Embury) Garfat and her brother-in-law, Ron Garfat (Eileen Henderson).

Carrol was predeceased by her brothers Norman (Verian) and Alton (Mary) and her sisters Vivian (John Cox) and Myrle (Al Bradley). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and their spouses.

A graveside service and burial of ashes will be held at the Huntingville Cemetery at a later date.

The family would like to thank their cousin, Marilyn Henry, for her loving friendship and kindness to their mother.
