It is with immense grief that the family of Dennis Herring announces his passing at his family home, lovingly surrounded in the care of his family, on May 1, 2026 at the age of 78.
Dennis was born on October 17, 1947 to parents Elwin Herring and Jessie MacIver.
Predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Jeanette Pedersen Herring.
Brother to the late Kenneth Herring (Yolande), Eric Herring (Kathleen), late Ashton Herring (Judy), and his sisters the late Rebecca and Linda.
Father of Vickie Herring (late Jean), Michael Herring (Doré), and Patrick Herring (Charlene).
Grandfather “Pabob” of Michele, Christina (Mathieu), Tyler (Audrey), Jessie (Kate), Anthony, and Rebecca (Oliver). Step-grandfather to Curren, Morrea and Kealani.
Great-grandfather to Isaac, Adaline, and Charles.
He will also be mourned by numerous other members of family and friends.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Vanessa and Katherine of the CLSC de Cookshire for their compassionate care; as well as other CLSC staff who have provided care to Dennis over the last few months.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation; a family graveside service will be held at a later date.
