In memory of

Gertrude Ord

1927 - 2025

Gertrude Learned (née Ord)

1927-2025

The family sadly announces the peaceful passing of our mother on April 24 at the Wales Home, in her 98th year. She was the beloved wife of the late Douglas and mother of Janet (Donald McKelvie), Trudy (Paul Dresdner), Malcolm (Diane), Maxine (the late Denis), Susan (the late Serge), and Grant (Dorothy). She was ‘’Nana mama’ to 11 surviving grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and recently one great-great-granddaughter.

Gertrude loved flowers, backyard birds, butterflies, scarves, nail polish and always that ‘bit of lipstick’.

A special thank you to the wonderful caring staff on N3 for their kindness and compassion. They were always ready with a smile and a song.

Visitation from 1-2 on Saturday, June 7 at the Cass Funeral home in Lennoxville, 3006 College St. followed by a private family reception and internment of ashes in the Cookshire Protestant Cemetery.
