James Lloyd Smith

1943 - 2021

James Lloyd Smith aka « Todd » or «Lightning Lloyd», 78 of Massawippi, son of Alvin Smith and Doris Davidson passed away on Monday September 6th after a long battle with lung cancer at the Magog Hospital. Lloyd was an active member of several ODD Fellow and Rebekah Lodges.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Burrows; son Johnathon Smith; and son Bruce Burrows (Corinne). His grandchildren, Bailey Roger-Burrows (Ben), Robert Roger-Burrows (Cynthia); Mari-Ann Burrows (Lucas), and Brooke Burrows (Bryan). His great grandchildren Greyson Dubois and Memphys Dubois. As well as his nieces, nephews and cousins, other relatives and friends.

Special thanks to the prolonged health care unit on the 3rd floor at the Magog Hospital. As well to Lloyd’s friend and fishing buddy George Robitaille and his wife Linda for all their support over the years to Lloyd, Barbara and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 5151, boul. de l’Assomption, Montreal, Québec, H1T 4A9, or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 100-2630, King St. Ouest, Sherbrooke, QC, J1J 2H1, would be appreciated by the family.

Service will be held at a later date.
