Born on November 20, 1940, in South Durham, passed away suddenly at the Hotel-Dieu de Sherbrooke on December 26, 2024, at the age of 84.
Loving wife of 62 years of Wayne Griffith, Julia leaves to mourn her daughters: Marlene and Heather (Frank), her grandchildren Ethan (Ashley), Zachary, Steven (Kylie), Jayson (Kayla); her great grandchildren Hayden, Malyn, Nolan and Mackenzie. She also leaves the son she never had, Harold Stalker who was dear to her heart. She is survived by her brother Calvin (Florence) and sister-in-law Helen (Keith) and predeceased by Lorna (Lorne), Ross “Jack” (Pat), Merlin “Tosh” (Mary), Gary (Shirley) and Royce (Winnifred). She left behind many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.? ?
The family wishes to extend their great appreciation to the staff on the third floor at Hotel-Dieu for their devotion and kindness.
Visitation will take place at Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond on Sunday January 5 as of 12 p.m. The ceremony will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral parlor.?
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Richmond/Melbourne or South Durham United Church or at the charity of your choice.??
