Leona Coates (Nee Smith)

1936 - 2022

Passed away peacefully at the Grace Village on December 17, 2022, at the age of 86.

Beloved wife of the late Howard Coates. Cherished mother of Dwight (Maggy), Lisa and the late John. She leaves to mourn many grandchildren, great grandchildren, her sister Lillian Martin, other relatives and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held for the late Leona Coates (nee Smith), on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bury Protestant Cemetery, followed by a lunch at the Lawrence Community Center.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Grace Village for the kind care given to Leona.

Aunt Lee was a very wonderful beautiful lady inside and out our angel on earth she always made you smile and help anybody out that she could she kepted the Lawrence church and now community center going for years doing many fund raisers she had a heart of gold who loved her children, grandchildren, and great grand children and family very much she is greatly and sadly missed forever in our hearts
