Now that he’s finished reading the entirety of his John Grisham collection, Dad has turned out the lights to rest.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Murray Matthews, age 82, at his home in Danville, QC, on Aug. 2, 2026.
He leaves behind his three children, Monique, Kristal (Terrence), and Mario (Nathalie), 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his sister Sharrell and brother Robert.
He was an avid storyteller, and we will miss his sometimes-embellished, oft-repeated stories of adventure...and misadventure.
As per Dad’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. His ashes will be interred privately at a later date.
