So sorry to hear of Paul’s passing…with deep condolences to his family and best friends.

Lynn and I have lost a cherished friend. We loved and admired his always stimulating and fun conversation, his quick and ready sense of humor and his sharp intellect. We will miss him dearly.

I am heartbroken to lose my friend Paul so soon after our beautiful Joanne. He was one of a kind. We shared many a rose. “It’s a summer drink” was our inside joke since we sipped it all year. Love to Derek and the rest of the family. He will be missed. Xo

Paul, I will miss you. You have been a dear friend these past years, being there for me when I needed a friend, encouragement and advice. Thank you for allowing me into your life to be there with you in your last months and days. Talking with you, praying with you and listening to your wonderful life stories that you shared with me. Your passing so quickly after Joanne is heartbreaking. You, Joanne, Denis, and I watched our children grow into fine adults, we laughed and cried together, and we were there for each other. You were like a brother to me, and Denis and I will miss you greatly. Derek, you have our deepest condolences.

Derek, je t'offre toutes mes sympathies pour cette séparation soudaine et définitive d'un père que tu chérissais. Il était vrai, authentique, simple, divertissant, lucide, gentil et combien amoureux de ta mère pour y avoir consacré toute sa vie. Il restera a jamais dans ton coeur. En 5 ans, mon frère cadet, mon frère aînée et ma soeur aînée sont décédés et je leur parle parfois, cela détend et réconforte. Bon courage.

J'écris encore car les fleurs commandées ne peuvent être livrées, ni les mots qui les accompagnaient. Cette fois, mon message de sympathies s'étend a toute ta famille, tous les amis de Paul et Vicky, une récente connaissance de Paul dont il m'a fait l'éloge le 2 octobre car elle comptait beaucoup pour lui et elle lui apportait beaucoup de support ainsi qu'a son chat dont il s'ennuyait. Derek, je profite de ce second message pour te demander s'il y possible de recevoir une photo de famille car je ne t'ai jamais rencontré et je ne crois pas aller en Allemagne. De plus, il existe une liste des cousins et cousines, si tu veux y faire rajouter ton nom, tu peux me le demander. Enfin, je vais faire un don pour la recherche sur le Alzheimer, c'est une maladie sournoise et souffrante.

Nos plus sincères sympathies Derek. Nous avons toujours apprécié rencontrer ton père et ta mère pour discuter. Cette dernière année, Gaétan aimait bien jaser avec ton père en espérant lui apporter un peu de réconfort. On est triste que tu aies perdu tes parents en si peu de temps. Derek, your dad was such a wonderful person. I always remember how he laughed every time your mom laughed in the other room. He was such a joyful person, so full of love.
