It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alberta Digby Crawford of Lennoxville, Quebec on June 30, 2023 at the age of 87, 2 days before her 88th birthday.
She was born July 2, 1935, a daughter of the late Albert Digby and late Maud Cillis.
She retired from Alexander Galt High School where she worked for many years. In retirement, she loved taking cruises, wordsearch puzzles, bingo and spending time with her family and friends having Sunday morning coffee or evenings on the porch swing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Albert Crawford, her very close friend Alex Raffan and her step children Allan (Judy) Crawford, Donald Crawford, Stanley (June) Crawford, Shirley (Jerry) Price, two sisters: Rosie and Laura, three brothers, Edward, Charles and Richard.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her son James aka Timmy (Deborah) Crawford, one sister, Alice Fullum, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She is also survived and remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, July 13 at Cass Funeral Home, 3006 Rue College, Sherbrooke, between 6pm and 8 pm. The funeral service will take place on Friday, July 14th, at Cass at 2 pm, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow immediately after at Malvern Cemetery, 75 Ch. Moulton Hill.
