À la mémoire de

Anne MacIver Ross

1950 - 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved and beautiful Anne MacIver Ross of North Hatley on August 19 at the age of 71. Predeceased by her loving husband, Gil Ross, stepson Ian, and parents Elizabeth and Donald MacIver. Anne is greatly missed by her stepchildren Peter (Tanya), Lucy (Bijaya), Deborah (Brendan), grandchildren Emma, James, Andra, Hudson, Elliott, Oliver, and loving brother Grant MacIver (Barbara) and nieces Patricia Anne (Peter and Karlie Anne) and Sarah (Graeme, Ainsley, and Malcolm), her very special friends who were always there for her, and her feline friend Harry.

Anne has always been an integral part of the Eastern Township community. She grew up in Lennoxville and graduated with an honours Biology degree from Bishop’s University. After running the biology labs at Bishop’s for a number of years, Anne became an accomplished Biology teacher at Champlain College. Anne completed her Masters of Education degree, receiving the Governor General's Gold Medal for her thesis.

Anne embodied beauty, intelligence and wit. Her love of Albert Mines, nature, travel, reading, English gardens, English humour, classical music, skiing, shopping, football, horse racing, Ben and Jerry’s, cooking and entertaining family and friends (including Harry), captured all who met her.

A special thank you to the caring and compassionate caregivers at CHUS Fleurimont. In lieu of flowers you may donate to the Canadian Cancer Society or Nature Conservancy Canada.

This is truly sad news. Anne was a class mate and we welcomed her in to the AYPA and she was a regular at our meeting and the Friday night dance. Such a warm and delightful person. To Grant, my heartfelt condolences. Sincerely, Rob Rick - Ajax ON.
