It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Bell, who left us peacefully on July 31, 2026, at the age of 92 years, after suffering from a brief illness.
Doug is lovingly remembered by his children Randy (Andrea), Robyn, Janna (Chris), his three granddaughters Alexa, Erica (Alex), Mikayla and his great-granddaughter Ava. He was predeceased by his wife Vivian.
Doug was the beloved brother to the late Alan (the late Huguette), the late Jean (the late Franklin), the late Sheila (the late Ross), the late Leonard and Diane (Rodney). Doug was brother-in-law to the late Victor Therrian (the late Yolande), Linda, Joan, and Shirley (Jacques). He also leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his many friends.
A graveside service will be held at the Westbury Cemetery in East Angus on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11 a.m.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff of Internal Medicine at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, to the exceptional rehabilitation staff at the Hospital D’Youville, as well as to the compassionate staff at CHSLD Weedon for the excellent care they provided. An especially big thank you goes to all the staff at the Manoir de L’Eau Vive for the many years of care and friendship they gave to our father.
C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Douglas Bell, survenu paisiblement le 31 juillet 2026, à l’âge de 92 ans, après une courte maladie.
Doug laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Randy (Andrea), Robyn et Janna (Chris), ses trois petites-filles Alexa, Erica (Alex) et Mikayla, ainsi que son arrière-petite-fille Ava. Il était l’époux de feu Vivian.
Doug était le frère bien-aimé de feu Alan (feu Huguette), de feu Jean (feu Franklin), de feue Sheila (feu Ross), de feu Leonard et de Diane (Rodney). Il était le beau-frère de feu Victor Therrian (feu Yolande), de Linda, de Joan et de Shirley (Jacques). Il laisse également dans le deuil de nombreux neveux et nièces. Ses nombreux amis garderont de lui un souvenir ému.
Une cérémonie d'inhumation aura lieu au cimetière Westbury, à East Angus, le samedi 15 août 2026 à 11 h.
La famille tient à exprimer sa profonde gratitude aux médecins et au personnel du service de médecine interne de l'Hôtel-Dieu, à l'équipe exceptionnelle de réadaptation de l'Hôpital d'Youville, ainsi qu'au personnel attentionné du CHSLD Weedon pour les excellents soins prodigués. Un merci tout particulier est adressé à tout le personnel du Manoir de l'Eau-Vive pour les nombreuses années de soins et d'amitié dont ils ont fait preuve envers notre père.
