Gordon passed away peacefully at the Wales Home on October 31, 2025, with his loving partner Shirley Smith by his side.
A celebration of life was held in the main living room of the Wales Home with Reverend Reg Jennings officiating and Debbie Knowles at the piano. A heartfelt eulogy was given by his daughter Karen Freidel. Gordon's family Murray, Scott, Karen and husband Jerry Freidel and granddaughter Jennifer from Connecticut were present. His son Derrick was unable to attend.
Adopted daughter Sharon and granddaughter Amanda from Chateauguay were present. He was also the loving adopted grandpa and great-grandpa to Sharon's family.
Shirley and his family wish to thank Norton 2 staff for the care and attention they gave Gordon. Also, a special thanks to Carol Ann and Patrick for all their kindness.
