Passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
Husband of Barb Barter, father of Paula (Troy), Sandy (Robert) and Andrew (Angela). Proud grandfather of Chad (Jayme) Bean, Cody (Claudia) Bean and Arielle Ward. Predeceased by his granddaughter Arianna Ward, his parents Ron and Ardice Ward, and special Aunt Arlene, his father and mother in-law Elmore and Ellen Barter. Also, left behind his brothers and sister Jimmie (Jeannie), Margaret (Ken), Rick (Karen), brothers and sisters-in-law Buzz and Karen Barter and Steve and Sue Barter, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Murray was a well respected loyal and honest man. His love and commitment for his family, his dedication and love of mechanics and music was evident throughout his life.
Thank you to the nurses, caregivers and staff of Norton 2 at the Wales Home.
Donations in memory of Murray can be sent to the Wales CHSLD Home or charity of your choice.
A memorial and burial service will be held at a later date.

Sorry to read of Murray's passi ng just this afternoon...a Lennoxville High chum.and Academy St neighbour..I will remember Murray for his perpetual smile and good humour...he was a stalwart on the various school hockey teams
With his Dad at the Fina Station across from the school he helped my parents endless times with their '56 Ford etc while being patient with my own car problems there and later
