In Loving Memory of Pamela Pearl Galvin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Pamela Pearl Galvin at the CHUS Fleurimont on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Pamela is now reunited with those who went before her: her beloved mother, Ina; her father, George; her brother, David; and her lifelong partner, Adrian.

She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Gwen Galvin-Gougeon and husband Tommy Thibault, whose unwavering love, compassion, and dedication ensured Pamela was surrounded by comfort and care until her final moments.

She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Patricia (late Bob), Christopher (Cindy), Joan, Sheila, and George; by her lifelong partner Adrian’s children, Pam, Kevin, and their families; as well as by her nieces, nephews, and the members of the Galvin family campground, all of whom will cherish her memory.

Pamela dedicated many years of her life to caring for others as a nurse. Her compassion, kindness, and gentle heart extended far beyond her profession, touching the lives of countless patients, colleagues, family, and friends. She found fulfillment in helping others, and her legacy of care and selflessness will continue to inspire all who knew her.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Service à domicile du CLSC and Les Coopératives de services à domicile for their exceptional care, kindness, and support throughout the past years.

A Celebration of Pamela’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Galvin family campsite at Trouser Lake Camping. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance, share stories, and celebrating her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Pamela’s memory to Diabetes Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society, two organizations that were meaningful to Pamela and her family.

Pamela’s love, warmth, and gentle presence will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Gwen, so very sorry for your, and your family’s, loss. I have fond memories of driving mum and Penny from Montreal to Eastman on Friday nights where the two of them would be sitting in the back deep in discussions, with a couple of travellers to keep the thirst down. Hugs to you all during this difficult time.
