Peacefully at the Wales Home, on February 3, 2024, passed away Mr. Peter Banks at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Lorna King, he was the son of the late Albert Banks and the late Ruby Spaulding.
Cherished father of Laura, Lynda (Fernando) and Lisa, he is also survived by his grandchildren Krischai, Tawanchai (Alexandra), Apeichai (Sara) and Lily.
He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place at the Cookshire United Church on Saturday, June 1 at 11AM, funeral service at 2PM with Tami Spires officiating, followed by his burial at the Island Brook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Island Brook Cemetery C/O Mr. Neil Burns, 1382 Rte 212 Cookshire-Eaton, QC, J0B 2M0 would be greatly appreciated.
The family would like to thank the Norton 1 Caregivers at the Wales Home for their care and devotion toward our father during his stay.

What a wonderful and amazingly intelligent man. He was very fortunate to have his loving wife “Lorna” and three beautiful & kind girls, he will now be with his wife Lorna.
Our heart felt sympathies are with all of you at these tough and trying times of our life. Make sure to keep traditions and memories alive. I remember his amazingly huge library/study in Sherbroke simply brilliant!
He was a great man who I definitely looked up too!!! I wish I could come in-person but unfortunately due my health issues will not be able to participate but we all will be there in prayer. God Bless you all and he will solidly be remembered fondly by my children and lovey wife.

I have sweet memories of “Mr B”. He was patient and kind to us when we were wild high school kids visiting the house. He didn’t say much ,his smirk did it for him. He was a lovely man.

Your father was a one of a kind. We used to have many a conversation about the town council. He made a gavel because he thought the people were getting out of hand one time. He thought it was a big joke when he came the next month. We still have the gavel at the town hall. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed.
