Paisiblement au CHUS Fleurimont le 13 mars 2014, est décédé monsieur Wells Mac Donald, à l’âge de 93 ans. Il était l’époux de Alice Allen Butler, demeurant à Windsor.
Afin de respecter ses dernières volontés, il n’y aura pas de service. La famille vous accueillera à la Coopérative Funéraire de l’Estrie, 64 3e Avenue, à Windsor, lundi le 17 mars 2014 de 19h00 à 21h00 pour recevoir les condoléances des parents et amis. Les cendres seront mises en terre au cimetière de Bury ultérieurement.
Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants; Thomas (Linda), Scott (Christine), David Butler (Claire) (Candide Couture), et Alan Butler (May); ses petits-enfants; Tyler, Adam, Stéphanie (Olivier), Carolyne, Cynthia (Sébastien), Christine (Alexandre), Wendy (Steve) et Julie (Timothy); ses arrière-petits-enfants; Megan, Zacharie, Joshua, Anna et Nicholas; ainsi que plusieurs autres parents et amis.
La famille tient à remercier sincèrement le Dre Marie-Claude Brochu et le personnel du CHUS Fleurimont pour les bons soins prodigués à Monsieur Mac Donald.
En guise de sympathie, les dons à la SPA Estrie, 1139, boul. Queen-Victoria, Sherbrooke J1J 4N5 seraient grandement appréciés de la famille.

A Farewell to my father... "well my bags are packed, I'm ready to go, I'm standing here outside the door. I hate to wake you up to say Goodbye. But the dawn is breaking, it's early morn. The taxis' waiting, he's blowin his horn. Already I'm so lonesome i could die. So kiss me and smile for me. Tell me that you'll wait for me. Hold me like you'll never let me go... " Wells MacDonald. December 20th 1920- March 13th-2014. Lost both my mom and my dad in less than 2 weeks. One at 82 and the other at 93. Opposite sides of the country. Life moves forward. My dad lived a good and honest life. Raised a family, provided love in ways other than hugs and platitudes. Taught me hard work, thrift, humour through good and bad, loyalty and dedication. Not a highly educated man, but one who sought sanctuary in the simple and steadfast ways of living. Angered slowly, listened with temerity. Parented with patient pronouncements rather than admonition. As with most of us, his life was not glittered in fame and fortune - The cards he was dealt were not often in his favour. Yet his journey through life was littered with good deeds, grace, grins and an earnest dedication to the path he had for the most part, chosen. Thank you God for providing me this ever strong and steady lighthouse beacon of security during my tumultuous and sea tossed childhood and teenaged years. You were counted upon more than you knew....
