It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wesley Norman Mason on October 20, 2026 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Sherbrooke. His life was a blessing and his memory will be cherished forever. He was predeceased by his parents, Esther Cowhard and Murray Mason.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife Wendy Butler; his sisters Helen (the late Barry Thomas), Margaret (Gerry Johnson), Freda (Douglas Smith) and his nephews Ian Thomas (Jennifer),

Lorne Thomas, Wade Thomas (Nedine), David Johnson (Glenna), Frank Johnson, Eric Smith. Also left to mourn are his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Elaine Butler (Austin Stone), Brian Butler (Mannon Garand) and their children Charlene Stone (Hervé), Karen Stone (Bobby), Bradley Butler, Brittany Butler (Jevin), and many other relatives and friends.

Raised on a family farm in Cowansville, Wesley had a love for nature and the outdoors. He enjoyed snowshoeing, skiing, curling, hiking, kayaking and gardening. He possessed a sharp mind and a lifelong passion for world news and politics. He also loved travelling. He spent 4 months travelling around Africa the fall before getting married. Wesley and Wendy have enjoyed many lovely trips around Europe, the United States and Canada.
