In loving memory of
Leslie Lester Doyle
1936-2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leslie Lester Doyle who left us on February 3, 2026, at the age of 89, a loving husband to Mona Williamson, a devoted father/father-in-law to Cheryl (Cecil), Daryl (Karen), grandfather, great-grandfather, and great great-grandfather to Julie (Alexandre), Corey, Cassie, Travis, Devon (Jasmin), Allyson (Fred), Marcus, Brooklynn & Theo.
Leslie was a man who always put his family first. He was loving, patient, had a heart of gold. A man who was endlessly proud of all the generations that he created. His family was his biggest joys, and he always made sure each of them knew how much they were loved.
Known for having the biggest heart, Leslie also had a wonderful sense of humor. His jokes - (sometimes silly, sometimes perfectly timed) made us laugh every single day. And then there were his hugs - strong, warm, & unforgettable.
Though words cannot fully express the impact he had on our lives, we take comfort in the comfort in the love, laughter and memories he leaves behind. Leslie will be deeply missed but never forgotten, living on through his family and all the lives he touched.
Our gratitude to the staff on the 6th floor “A” at the CHUS Fleurimont for their support and dedication.
In Leslie’s memory, donation made to the South Durham United Church/Cemetery c/o Mary Gunter, Treasurer, 230 Giguere St. South Durham, QC, J0H 2C0 would be greatly appreciated.
A private graveside service will be held in the spring at South Durham United Cemetery

So so sorry for your loss. I have so many memories of Les as a child. From an early age I'd follow him to the barn where I'd watch him him milking. Such a loss to his family a true patriarch. Sincere condolences to Mona and all the generations that make up their family. I'm sure he'll continue sharing his humour with those who have gone before him as well as keep a close watch on those that mourn him. RIP Uncle Les 💕🤍🕊️

To the family sorry for your loss. I worked with Les a couple of years at Carnation and it was always a pleasure to do so. Many a laugh was shared and always a helping hand was offered to all. May all the milk cans you emptied be a blessing for you, Les.

Aunt Mo, and the whole family. My heart is wrapped around yours today. Please know that my prayers, my love, and my thoughts are with all of you. I will forever remember Leslie for his endless smile and that unmistakable laugh he shared whenever he told “a good one.” It was the kind of laugh that stayed with you long after the moment passed and one that I will always cherish.
The depth of his love cannot be measured, nor can the pain of his loss. Leslie helped shape who I am today by teaching me how to laugh when life feels heavy—a lesson I return to often. His spirit lives on in those moments of laughter, in kindness, and in love. He will always be a part of my heart and never be forgotten, and he will always be known to me as Uncle Leslie.

I first meet Les back in Jan 1977 at Carnation. He was a great help to me as I started my career. As luck would have it , we would spend the next 20+ years working together. He liked to have fun, tell a good joke , and talking about his family. An all around great man.
We are thinking about you during this difficult time . Sincere sympathies.
