I just heard and I am saddened by the passing of a great man. My deepest sympathies to you. I remember his laugh and when he shook his head when in disbelief. I had the pleasure to work with you both. I remember the camping trip and you introducing me to chunky monkey ice cream. I was glad to have spent time with you and your parents. You are in my thoughts Kevin. ♥️

My sincerest of condolences to all of you. My heart shattered when Kevin reached out to me to tell me that his dad had passed. He was such a great man, silent and never loud, but the wisdom he held behind those eyes spoke volumes.
My greatest memory of Doug happened a few years back when Kevin invited the kids and I to go pick berries at his house after work. I think my son Dustin was probably about 5 or 6 at the time and he was so excited to go. When we got to Kevin's , Dustin bolted up the sand dune with his little pail in hand to go pick berries. All of a sudden, I could hear him chattering away with someone on the other side of the dune. It was Doug. Dustin fell in love with him immediately and Doug treated him like he was the most important kid around. They had a grand 'ol time picking berries together and talking, and Dustin talked about him for a long time afterwards. That's when I knew how great Doug was. He didn't care if you were 6 or 90... he had time for you. He made you feel that good, and that important. That same greatness, I see in his son.
Kevin and Karen, Doug didn't pass. He lives in you. His voice is loud and strong and he is very much a part of all of us.
I'm grateful and humbled that God found me worthy enough to cross paths with the Morey family.
God Bless you all.

Very saddened to hear of your Dad's passing. We had been in contact with Kevin and knew of the changes surrounding his life. I am in the middle of updating the family tree and was going to contact your Dad to get more information about Karen's growing family. We wish all of you strength during this time and think of you often. Your Dad was so kind and generous and will be missed by many.
Let's keep in touch.
