Pauline Gifford McClure
1931-2026
Pauline (Polly) McClure entered a peaceful rest in her own room at the Wales Home, June 17, 2026, with family members present. She was in her 95th year.
Polly was born August 17, 1931, the daughter of Hazel Smith and Earl Gifford. She was united in marriage to Arthur McClure from Amesbury, Mass, USA and lived there for 43 years. Upon retiring Polly and Arthur (Jr.) came to Canada, residing in Danville, QC where Polly continued to live after Arthur’s death until going to the Wales Home in Richmond, QC.
Polly was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Elwin, David, Raymond, Alton, Helen, Grace, Ada, Methel, Doris, and Eva. Out of this large family, one remains, Marion, and all Polly’s loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on July 11, 2026, at Cass Funeral Home, 295 Rue Principale, Richmond, from 1:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm, officiated by Father Giuseppe Gagliano and Deacon Sam Boersman.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Wales Home and all those who came to visit Polly.
