Barbara Warner Hanson
Passed away at the CSSS-IUGS Pavillon d’ d’Youville on December 4, 2025 at the age of 89.
Barbara was predeceased by her loving husband Eric Hanson who traveled together and also enjoyed golf and curling. Barbara was raised in North Hatley, the two returned there to enjoy ten happy years of retirement, where she was reunited with many of her childhood friends!.
She leaves to mourn her two sons Darren Hanson (Wendy Lagace) and Brendan Hanson (Tammy Hanson), her cherished grandchildren Matthew, Tyler (Courtney Horn), Nicholas, Lyndsay and Baylee Hanson and her great grandchildren Jax and Jasmine, her brother Glenn Warner (companion Joni Hanson), her dear friend Janet McLellan. She also leaves to mourn many relatives and friends.
A funeral service is being planned for the spring of 2026 in North Hatley.
The family would like to thank the Staff at Youville for the compassionate and wonderful care given to Barbara.

Always optimistic and open to new adventures my dear father would introduce my mother to golf, snow shoeing, cross country skiing then curling and she embraced it all! The two of them became members at Dufferin Heights and joined leagues, along with the curling club in North Hatley.She belonged to the Women's Institute in North Hatley and enjoyed socializing with her friends Thelma and Janet, among others.
A classic stay at home mom, she'd have baked apples with brown sugar inside nearly every day waiting for us when we got home from elementary school! The small touches of a loving mom.
As a teenager I would argue about everything with my Mom nearly every day but we'd end up laughing afterwards, for sure I wasn't easy but she remained stable throughout those rebellious days!
Mom God bless, thanks for everything- until we meet again( and we will!)
