Surrounded by her family, Margaret passed away at the CHUS hospital on October 8, 2026, at the age of 70. She was the beloved wife of the late Dale Hartley and the daughter of late William and Bernardina Brus.
She leaves to mourn her sons, Michael and Christopher (Laura); her grandchildren, Chase and Colton; her brothers and sisters, Thea (Paul), Henriette (Alain), Mary (Jacques), André (Chrissy), John (Sylvie), and Willy (Shelley); and her brother-in-law, Wendall (Jean).
She was predeceased by her brother, Ben. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
The family will hold a private gathering.
As a memorial tribute, donations to DeafBlind Ontario Services, 17665 Leslie Street, Unit 15, Newmarket, Ontario, L3Y 3E3, would be appreciated by the family.
