It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Martin Kingsley on June 1, 2026, son of the late Noel Kingsley and the late Madeline Buttemer; brother of the late Frank, the late Lorraine (Arthur Little), David, Carol (the late Roger Turner), and Linda (Lionel Hamilton).
He is survived by his loving wife Katharine Ruth Jervis-Read and his loving children Eric (Ann St-Arnaud), Amelia, Paul (Sarah Burton), Peter (Amanda Hamel) and Emma (Andrew Flanders). He was a dear Grampy to James, Liliane, Julia, William, Jack, Scott, Elsbeth, Judith, Alexis, Josh and Lucy
He will be greatly missed by his mother-in-law Naomi Jervis-Read, his brothers- and sisters-in-law Mary and Gilles, Martha and Barry, Mark, Sarah and Ben, and Tim. He also leaves to mourn his many cousins (especially Doreen Cairns), nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his many friends, especially Mike Martin who has always been like a brother, and his friend and neighbour Rodney Laroche.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13 at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College, Sherbrooke, from 2-4 pm, followed by the burial at Eaton Cemetery.
